I hope you didn’t miss October’s issue of Tiny House Magazine, it was great if I do say so myself! I had the pleasure to participate as Guest Editor of Issue 46 and I used my powers for good and included some of my favorite subjects and people – of course!

Much of the conversation focused on the diversity issues and concerns facing the tiny house community, which obviously are discussions of interest and concern for me – and I will continue to champion those discussions. Pop on over to our Tiny House Trailblazers site if you’d like to get looped into those discussions and gather more info, we’ve got lots of information available for you there and some really great things in the works.

Perch and Nest was also featured in the issue as Builder of the Month and I wanted their feature with you here. If you’re familiar with my story and my HGTV Tiny House, Big Living Episode you’ll know they didn’t build my tiny home, but I’ve since partnered with them as my exclusive build partner to build models of my home for my customers. I was initially drawn to them by their craftsmanship and quality builds and we’ve since developed a wonderful friendship. It doesn’t hurt that they also have some really cool kids that I adore and a pig named Hammie that I’ve featured on my Instagram page, because you have to take pics of cool pigs too…

Meet my friends Tom and Johanna, of Perch & Nest…
